This is the best recovery resource I have found. Period. Nothing penetrated my disordered mindset like this book and motivated me to recover. The book is based in scientific research and contains countless testimonies from women who are recovering. After reading this I finally understood the physiological relationship between my eating disorder behavior and my reproductive system and explicitly how eating more and exercising less recovers my body. There is even a chapter dedicated to recovering runners!

PR: A Personal Record of Running from Anorexia

This was a breakthrough book for me. Amber Sayer tells her story about battling an eating disorder while being an elite high school and college runner. It was the first time a book about eating disorders resonated with me. I found myself folding the corner of page after page as I would come across something I connected with so deeply I had to mark it to reference later.

Tabitha has amazing content. She produces podcasts and blog entries on a variety of eating disorder and recovery topics; some of my favorites include weight gain in your stomach, and over shooting. Her insight is spot on and her direct and casual delivery leaves you feeling engaged and understood.
